The capsule is an internet-of-things device, gathering physical data from the animal's rumen and relaying it to the farmer's computer or mobile device/app over 300 times a day. It provides valuable information on approximately 40 types of livestock diseases, including foot-and-mouth disease, sepsis, and mastitis. Additionally, the device records body temperature, drinking cycle, and overall animal activity, while also alerting farmers to the optimal time for insemination.
The smart electronic bolus sensor, based on temperature, activity, is inserted into the rumen. It features heat detection, calving alerts, early illness notifications. The mobile app allows remote access to the herd from anywhere, empowering farmers with real-time insights.
Designed for continuous measurement of rumen temperature and activity levels, the recorded data is transmitted in real-time to the LoRaWAN Base Station.
